VIENNA – Two people were killed when a plane crashed on Thursday afternoon in the western Austrian state of Salzburg.
The Austrian-registered Cessna 150 departed from the town of Gmunden en route to Salzburg when it disappeared from radar.
It crashed soon, triggering an emergency signal. The emergency services discovered the aircraft in the Flachgau region bordering Upper Austria.
Police said the two men were found dead in the aircraft.
