A bus collided into a goods truck in the southern state of Minas Gerias in Brazil killing at least 10 people and wounding 26 on Sunday morning.

The accident took place at about 3:00 a.m. local time at the 220 km of Federal Highway BR-116.

The bus was traveling from the city of Salvador to Rio with 38 people aboard and belonged to the Itapemirim firm. The driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with the truck that was carrying apples.

Nine died at scene while a tenth death was reported as the person arrived the hospital.

Other 26 people were carried with injuries to hospitals in the cities of Santa Rosalia and Teofilo Otoni. Eight of the injured were released including the driver.
