Hong Kong health authorities reported a new influenza A/H1N1 fatal case increasing the number of deaths to the flu to 21.
According to Hong Kong's Yan Chai Hospital spokesperson, the victim was a 66-year-old man that had diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and angina. He started showing symptoms of the flu on September 21 and was admitted to a hospital the next day after Ischaemic Heart Disease.
After deteriorating he was transferred to Intensive Care Unit on September 23 and was treated with antibiotics and Tamiflu. The influenza A/H1N1 infection was confirmed on September 24 and died at 5:26 a.m. Sunday.
