Hong Kong's Department of Health reported 470 newly confirmed cases of the A/H1N1 flu in the past 24 hours ending at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, raising the city's total number of flu cases to 26,548.
According to the Health Department, the newly confirmed cases include 244 males and 226 females, whose ages ranged between 18 months and 83 years.
In a releated report, Hong Kong's Hospital Authority stated that at present, a total of 261 infected patients are confined in public hospitals for further treatment. Among them, 240 are in stable condition, 10 are in serious condition while 11 are reportedly in critical condition.
