Hanoi, Vietnam -- A daily report on the website of Vietnam's Ministry of Health on Monday reported 206 newly confirmed cases of the A/H1N1 flu, bringing the nation's total number of flu cases to 8,419.
The ministry said that out of the newly confirmed cases, 118 patients were detected in the south, 69 were reported in the north, and 19 were documented in the country's highland provinces.
According to the report, there were already 6,736 patients who have been discharged from hospitals after recuperating from the new disease.
So far, Vietnam has registered 13 fatal cases of the A/H1N1 flu.
