NATO-led tropps said that four US soldiers were killed by a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan.
Two of the American servicemen were killed on the spot in the blast on Thursday, while the two others died later from the wounds they sustained.
Additional information regarding the victims and the exact location of the attack have yet to be released.
The latest casualties come as US President Barack Obama contemplates on future troop options as part of a review of US strategy in the war torn nation.
