CANBERRA -- Heath authorities have confirmed a total of 37,039 cases of influenza A/H1N1 as of October 26. 

The country's death toll remains at 186. Among the registered fatalities, four were pregnant women and 12.9% were of indigenous ethnic origin. 

A week prior to the latest update, 11 patients have been hospitalized, including one who was admitted to an Intensive Care Unit. To date, the total number of hospitalizations in Australia since the start of the pandemic is 4,904.
