Russian news agencies reported on Tuesday that a 53-year-old woman died to the influenza A/H1N1 virus in the capital city of Moscow increasing the total number of deaths to four.
The RIA Novosti media reported the statement made by a health ministry official stating that the victim had underlying health problems.
Three other fatal cases were reported previously in Russia the same day. All of these deaths belonged to the Siberian Transbaikal region in the east.
According to chief sanitary official, Gennady Onishchenko, over 1,300 cases of the flu have been confirmed in Russia.
Two A/H1N1 vaccines are being produced in Russia that plans to start the vaccination program in December. The first round will be destined to vaccinate 10 million people.
