Ankara, October 30, 2009 -- The Health Ministry in Turkey reported the second influenza A/H1N1 related death when over 1,400 cases of the flu have been currently confirmed in the country.
According to the statement released by the ministry, the new death involved a 34-year-old woman that died to the flu virus on Thursday in the city of Diyarbakir, located in the southeastern region of the country.
This second death comes approximately a week later from the first confirmed death.
From the total 1,400 cases that have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, 11 patients are currently being treated at hospitals. From this patients three have been reported as in critical condition.
