Three Afghan Police Injured in Roadside Bomb Attack

KABUL -- Provincial police chief Sardar Mohammad Zazi reported on Saturday that a roadside bomb detonated in Kandhar, injuring three Afghan policemen.

Zazi told media that the incident occurred on Friday as the vehicle of the police officers was heading to the Kandahar airport.

Kandahar and its surrounding provinces have been subjected to an increasing Taliban activity as its militants have resorted to suicide attacks and roadside bombings.
