CAIRO -- The Egyptian Health Ministry confirmed through a statement on Monday the nation's sixth A/H1N1 flu-related death.
According to the statement, the victim was a 23-year-old woman from Giza governorate, who died of the dreaded A/H1N1 virus in a private hospital on Monday morning. The statement did not provide additional information pertaining to the latest fatal case.
So far, the ministry has reported over 1,000 cases of the A/H1N1 flu.
Egypt, the most populous Arab nation reported its first A/H1N1 case on June 2, involving a 12-year-old Egyptian-American girl who returned from the United States via the Netherlands.
