HONG KONG -- The Hospital Authority of Hong Kong on Sunday announced the city's 63rd fatal case of the A/H1N1 flu. The latest victim was a 20-year-old male with severe congenital heart disease. He was initially admitted to the Medical and Geriatric ward of United Christian Hospital on January 20 due to fever and other flu symptoms. The patient's condition started to deteriorate so he was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit on the same day as he already needed ventilation support. He was given Tamiflu and antibiotics. The following day, he tested positive for the A/H1N1 virus. His condition remained critical and he eventually passed away at around 5:15 a.m. on January 24.
