XI'AN -- Local authorities reported on Saturday that nine people were killed and two others were injured when a van collided with a car which was then struck by a truck in China's Shaanxi Province on Friday evening.
According to a Jingyang county government official, four people in the van and all five in the car were killed on the spot, while two passengers from the van suffered injuries.
The official said that the two injured victims were hospitalized and were already in stable condition.
The accident took place at around 7 p.m. at Jingyang County. The car was then truck by a truck that was traveling in the same direction.
Police are currently investigating the cause of the collision.
