KABUL -- The International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) issued a press release on Monday saying that two NATO soldiers were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) strike in southern Afghanistan on Sunday.
However, the press release did not provide additional information about the victims' nationality, saying it is ISAF's policy to refer identification procedure for fatalities to the relevant national authorities.
ISAF also issued a press release earlier on Sunday confirming the deaths of two more soldiers in the northern Afghan provinces.
Since the beginning of 2010, more than 50 NATO soldiers, majority of whom Americans, have been killed in the war-torn nation.
