KABUL -- A British soldier with the NATO- led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) was killed in an improvised explosive device (IED) strike on Monday in southern Afghanistan.
ISAF issued a press release on Tuesday and confirmed the death, however, it failed to disclose further details.
Thousands of ISAF service members, most of whom are American and British soldiers, along with a large contingent of Afghan forces are scheduled to launch a major offensive on the Taliban militant group in Helmand province.
