Swine flu claims two pregnant women - Beed (India)

The deadly H1N1 virus has resulted in the death of two pregnant women in the village of Beed in Maharashtra. These two deaths put the total number of the deaths in the region of Marathawada at 34 since the virus first broke out in the region. One of the victims, Seema Kamble died at the Ambajogai Hospital while the other one, who was 26 years old at one of the government hospitals of the village.

Both the women had tested positive for the H1N1 virus after they had been tested for the same at the National Institue of Virology situated in Pune. As an added precautionary measure by the medical authorities, family members of both the victims too have been hospitalised.
