Blast Near School Kills Two in Pakistan's Peshawar

PESHAWAR -- Police sources said at least two people were killed and several others were injured on Wednesday morning in an explosion which occurred near a school in Peshawar. Local media reports said a bomb detonated outside a private model school located in the Nothia area of Peshawar, the capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Majority of the victims were children. Police said the blast was caused by an explosive device planted just outside the school building. Rescue workers rushed to the site and transported the injured to the Lady Reading Hospital.
