Reports released by the World Health Organization on Tuesday stated that the case found in Denmark is an "isolated case" and has "no public health implication".

Dick Tompson, WHO spokesman, stated that the patient infected with tamiflu resistant H1N1 revealed by Danish officials and the Swiss drug company Roche on Monday did not mean the virus was more severe.

"This is an isolated case. At this time, there is no public health implication. But we mast remain alert as teh virus can change at any time an we must not be complacent," Thompson stated.

The patient infected with the drug resistant virus is recovering and no further contagion was detected.
