According to police reports, one Iraqi soldier has been killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad on Thursday as U.S. troops withdrew the country and handed security to the local forces.
The incident in the Abu Nawas area of Baghdad was reported as the first since the U.S. withdrawal of the capital on Tuesday. There has been no reports of bombings in the capital on Wednesday.
On June, 373 civilians have died from violent deaths due to insurgent attacks in comparison to the 134 casualties of May.
