The European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) reported on Sunday that 57 new A/H1N1 flu cases were detected among European countries within the past 24 hours.
Here is a brief run-down of the newly confirmed cases:
Cyprus - 14 newly confirmed cases
Finland - 12 new cases
Greece - six new cases
Malta and Ireland - five new cases each
Portugal - four new cases
Romania and Austria - three new cases each
Belgium and Denmark - two new cases each
Slovenia - one new case
To date, the ECDC has reported that the total number of confirmed cases of the A/H1N1 flu virus in the European Union and EFTA (European Free Trade Association) countries increased to 10,260, with 7,447 confirmed cases in Britain, 776 cases in Spain, 505 in Germany, and 318 in France.
