Bomb Thrown at Petrol Station in Mombasa
Kenya Isolated Incident // Man-made
MOMBASA -- Police in Mombasa are searching for a Toyota Probox vehicle whose occupants are alleged to have hurled a hand-made petrol bomb. The incident occurred at around 4 a.m. on Saturday morning, when a sprite bottle was thrown by the assailants at the Oil Libya Petrol station before they sped off. Sources have now claimed that a similar Probox was used in March this year, during the Mtwapa grenade attack, where one of the worshippers in the crusade died. The Criminal Investigations confirmed that the sprite bottle did not have any contents. It is still not clear what is the intention of the suspect but police say they will release any relevant information once investigations are done.
